As Chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for San Marino, Andrew Rosindell MP led a cross-party delegation at the invitation of the Republic of San Marino.
The visit began in Rome and included a significant moment at the Vatican, where the delegation attended the General Audience of His Holiness, Pope Leo XIV, during the Jubilee year, Pilgrims of Hope.
Following the audience in St. Peter’s Square, the delegation was granted a brief moment with the Holy Father. The visit also included a meeting with Archbishop Paul Gallagher, the Holy See’s Secretary for Relations with States, where discussions covered global conflict and freedom of religion and belief.
The delegation then travelled to San Marino for a series of high-level engagements with the Captains Regent, government ministers, and business leaders, reaffirming the UK’s historic friendship and growing partnership with the world’s oldest republic.
