Today, Andrew Rosindell M.P. joined Romford Hindus in their celebration of Diwali, alongside Cllrs Viddy Persaud and Carol Smith.
Britain's historical relationship with the global Hindu community spans centuries, and with the gradual expansion of the British Empire, so did grow the global Hindu diasphora in the Caribbean, Pacific, East Africa and more.
The celebrations in Romford were packed with Bollywood performances, Indian street food stalls, and arts and crafts workshops.
Andrew has thanked all those who were involved in organising the festivities and looks forward to the same again next year.
