Today the Government unveiled new proposals for legislation in the Queen's Speech in what local M.P. Andrew Rosindell has called a "legislative programme to ensure we build back better and stronger from the pandemic.
The Queen's Speech focused on infrastructure and 'levelling up', strengthening the armed forces and better support for veterans, overhauling the asylum system and improving border security, planning reform and advances in the environment and animal welfare.
The Queen's Speech also outlined creation of the Prime Minister's Lifetime Skills Guarantee, which will give people the skills they need for well-paid jobs and opportunities to train throughout their lifetime.
Andrew Rosindell M.P. said:
"This is a Queen's Speech from a Government truly dedicated to the priorities of the people of this great country, including our community here in Romford. It is a legislative programme to ensure we build back better and stronger from the pandemic.
People in Romford don't care about the woke agenda being pushed by a small band of over-privileged left-wing activists. We care about ensuring Queen's Hospital is well staffed and resources. We care about our local high street and ensuring that everyone has a good, well-paid job. We care about keeping Havering safe. We care about ensuring that everyone has access to education and training.
I applaud this Government for its bold and ambitious Queen's Speech and I look forward to continuing to fight for the people of Romford over the coming months and years."
