Sharing our Christian Values
Andrew Rosindell M.P., Member of Parliament for Romford
I will always say it as it is and be honest with the good people of Romford, who have elected me on seven occasions as their representative in the House of Commons. The truth is, over fourteen years in power, the Conservative Party, my party, failed toprevent mass immigration to our shores and ‘stop the boats’ allowing foreign nationals to come here without the controls and limits the public were demanding. The problem is now overwhelming and no UK government, Conservative or Labour, has managed to adopt a coherent strategy to deal with it. The British people are sickened at the sight of their country being radically changed before their eyes and want decisive action before it is too late! This is not an extreme opinion this is the view of almost everyone I speak to in Romford. I agree with them. Every dinghy should be turned back to France. A strict limit should be imposed on thenumber of entry visas into Britain, essential workers only. All those who have come here illegally, must be detained and deported, starting immediately with those who have committed crimes. Anyone who has freely come to our country must integrate into British society (not us with them) and desist from importing medieval practices and native feuds here. Let it be crystal clear that the United Kingdom is a Christian country. Our King is the Defender of the Christian faith and our laws, customs and traditions are founded on England’s Christian heritage. Indeed, it is our love of freedom that gives those from other religions and denominations the right to worship freely in these islands, provided they operate within the law. I say to those who pay no attention to the importance of England’s Christian heritage and cannot see the relevance of it today, you are wrong. Taking the foundations of our society for granted is a huge mistake. So, for a start, we must all cherish and support our local church. St. Edward The Confessor in Romford Market is a wonderful example, standing as a beacon of the Christian heritage in our town for centuries. I would like to see the entire community in Romford rally around St. Edward’s and help our new Vicar gather the funds needed to ensure that the church fabric and bells are maintained, with the magnificent steeple lit up at night for all to see! What better symbol could there be to project our proud English Christian heritage, here in our beloved Essex town of Romford.
